Tango Experience Darmstadt

From March 20–22, 2026, T! Darmstadt will host Tango Experience Darmstadt, a small festival featuring three milongas from the diverse spectrum of tango in Darmstadt.

An unusual festivalito that connects traditional and neo tango.
Three milongas in Darmstadt in one weekend — possibly more.
A great reason to travel to Darmstadt even from farther away.

No registration required – no participation fee.
All milongas are donation-based to allow for the greatest possible inclusion.
Just come to Darmstadt, donate as generously as you can, and celebrate tango in all its diversity.

Friday, March 20, 2026:
Milonga Poco de Todo with TJ Marcus (Mix of traditional (30%), modern und non (70%) Tangos)

Saturday, March 21, 2026:
Milonga Sueño with TJane Gabi (traditional)

Sunday, March 22, 2026:
Milonga Armónico with TJ El Librillo
(1/3 traditional, 1/3 modern, 1/3 non-tango in a harmonious mix)

Ladies: There is no registration and therefore no role balancing — so please encourage as many leaders as possible to participate.

Instructors: Heidi and her (Argentine) husband Julián.
Heidi and Julián have been teaching tango for over 20 years (originally in Berlin, now in Darmstadt). They teach authentic Río de la Plata tango and convey the “classical” tango steps and movement patterns.

14:00 – 15:00: Tango taster workshop (no previous experience required)
15:15 – 16:15: Chacarera (no previous experience required)
16:30 – 17:30: Milonga with traspié – with fine variations (tango experience required)
17:45 – 18:45: Vals with elegant variations (tango experience required)

Individuals are also welcome to participate — you may find a partner on site.

Cost: €10 per person per workshop — payable in cash on site to Heidi and Julián (card payment not possible).
