Description

Argentine tango weekend seminar in Glasgow with maestro Tomas Corbalan. More details to follow. Watch this space!

A little info about Tomas: born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Tomas spent a lot of time learning music (various instruments, singing, composition, etc) and brazilian martial art capoeira.
After learning tango he also started to investigate into more spiritual areas like Yoga, Tai Chi, Reiki as well as breathing and meditation techniques.
His mantra is: “But more than what you do is how you do it”.
He believes that Tango has changed his life, and has the power to transform anyone that gets deeply into this journey.
In Tango, like in many other arts, you will see you real self magnified, recognise patterns of behaviour and abilities you have in order to adapt to new situations. You will also explore relationships and how you interact with other people.
You will need to become healthier in every aspect of life in order to become a better dancer. Tango is body, mind and soul.

Tomas is now devoting himself to dancing and teaching all around the world. He is regularly invited to America, Europe, Asia and the Middle east. He is trying to transmit the message of how important it is to understand oneself with love in order to be able to give to others a good dancing experience.

He believes that tango is one, regardless of the style. Having studied the different styles he now aims to deliver an organic, healthy and effortless dance, creating more option and freedom for both roles. He also truly believes in the connection between the couple, with the bodies and music coming together as one.
