Vals Workshop, Sunday 23rd July 2017, Berkhamsted
Tango Vals ("Tango Waltz") is a fabulous, flowing, romantic dance, danced to 3/4 Waltz music, with Vals music commonly played at tango social events.
On Sunday 23rd July 2017, we're running a specialist workshop in our Berkhamsted studio, focussing on this lovely and expressive dance style, focussing on feeling, rhythm, and rotation-based steps, creating gorgeous and expressive movements
The schedule is as follows:
- Session 1: Rhythm and feel: single and double-time movement, variations in style and feel, using balanceo core steps.
- Session 2: Embrace and dissociation: delivering rotational intention via embrace, based on the cruzada and ocho cortado steps.
- Session 3: Flowing feel: travelling turns and lovely sequences.
We'll have 15-minute breaks between sessions, to rest, practice, or ask any questions.
