About Taboe

Of course, Taboe is a dance event with 65+ workshops and many hours of dancing, but it is also more than that. At Taboe, we cherish values that transform us from individuals into a harmonious and vibrant tango community. Our journey takes us from lightness to depth, from stillness to celebration, from trust to challenge - leaving you connected and fulfilled, embracing your authentic self.

The camp's enchanting tango rituals, community gatherings, warm sharing circles, and joyful food preparation teams all contribute to the magic of Taboe.

This Year's Theme: "EMBRACE"

Our 2026 camp theme is Embrace, because in tango everything starts in the embrace, long before the first step. By focusing on the hold, we explore it as the architect of our movement and the soul of our connection. But an embrace is also a mindset: it is the art of accepting "what is" in the present moment. When we embrace the here and now, we can find the vital flow needed to free our dance and shape our connection together.

MAIN CAMP

• Location: Woudenbergseweg 47, 3711 AA, Austerlitz, NL
• Workshops: 60+ workshops included and free to choose
• Accommodation: dormitories, small campers and a few tent spots

Music & DJ Team

Our nights feature different flavours and occasional themes/outfits. Our music is rooted in traditional tango with thoughtful explorations into modern orchestras and complementary genres—a mindfully alternative approach.

Our DJ team stays with us throughout the camp, allowing them to feel the evolving atmosphere and create cohesive musical journeys:
