BUENA JUNTA TANGO WEEKEND 2018 – Edition II Expanded

On August 24-26, 2018 we want to invite you to the second edition of the Buena Junta Tango Weekend in Riga, Latvia. We tried it for the first time last year and we’ve decided to continue. We loved it last year, and we aim to love it even more this year!

This year we are expanding! Going out of the limits of our cozy Buena Junta tango club and into a big hall in the old city. More so, we are bringing a great Argentine tango LIVE ORQUESTRA to play for us – at a concert and at a milonga! Here, we give you the preview:
* DAY MILONGA on a terrace
* NIGHT MILONGAS in a Grand Hall
* live Argentine tango ORQUESTRA performing for dancers
* tango DJs who play music with passion
* ASADO (grill party) on Sunday at Buena Junta tango club

For once again, we invite the old friends and the newcomers to share a few days with us, dancing tango, socializing, and enjoying what the late summer has to offer in Riga. August is the best summer month in Latvia. Warm days and cool nights, the pleasant sea and the salty wind. The city of Riga is easily reached from both west and east.

Yes, we will still greet you at our own Buena Junta tango club during the pre-party and after-party milongas. Located at the city center, the club occupies the first floor of the old factory dance hall. It offers 150 sq meters of comfortable premises, including 90 sq meters of an excellent parquet dancefloor. Made of beechwood, the floor is about 80 years old. We restored it with great care for very comfortable dancing. And we will cook our traditional barbeque (asado) in the courtyard of the club and greet the sunrise by dancing folklore at peña.

Those willing to dip into the sea and sunbathe can pay a visit to Jurmala (20 min by train), and others can enjoy walks through the Old Riga.

BUENA JUNTA TANGO WEEKEND 2018 – Выпуск II Expanded

24-26 августа 2018 г. мы приглашаем вас в Ригу (Латвия) на второй выпуск нашего Buena Junta Tango Weekend. В прошлом году мы сделали это впервые и решили продолжить в этом. Нам понравилось то, что получилось в прошлом году, и мы собираемся сделать еще лучше в этом!

В этом году мы расширяемся. Выходим за рамки нашего уютного Buena Junta tango club и перемещаемся в большой зал в старом городе. Более того, мы пригласили прекрасный ОРКЕСТР аргентинского танго, который сыграет для нас на милонге и отдельно на концерте! Вот коротко, что нас ждёт:
* ДНЕВНАЯ МИЛОНГА на террасе
* НОЧНЫХ МИЛОНГИ в большом зале
* ЖИВАЯ МУЗЫКА на танцполе в исполнении ОРКЕСТРА аргентинского танго
* ДИДЖЕИ, страстно любящие музыку танго
* воскресное ASADO (гриль-пикник) в Buena Junta tango club

Мы приглашаем старых друзей и новичков разделить с нами эти несколько дней, танцуя танго, и общаясь и наслаждаясь еще летней Ригой. Август - самый приятный летний месяц в Латвии. Жаркие дни и прохладные вечера, тёплое море и солёный ветер. До Риги очень удобно добираться как с запада, так и с востока.

И хотя основные милонги пройдут в старом городе, мы всё же будем рады приветствовать вас и в нашем клубе - Buena Junta tango club. Клуб находится в центре Риги, на бельэтаже старого фабричного актового зала. Он занимает 150 метров, танцевать можно на 90 из них. Паркету из бука около 80 лет, на восстановление которого мы потратили много времени, и танцевать на нём очень комфортно. А в небольшом уютном дворе мы и устроим наше уже традиционное асадо, пожарим мясо и возможно встретим рассвет аргентинским фольклором.

Желающие искупаться и позагорать смогут съездить в Юрмалу (20 минут на электричке), любители экскурсий - побродить по Старой Риге.
