Cologne Tango Marathon Carnaval De Mi Barrio

Welcome to the "Carnaval de mi barrio" Tango Marathon Köln.

In recent years we have visited many international tango events in beautiful places and met wonderful tangueras and tangueros. Now we would love to return the favour and welcome you to our hometown Cologne.

We are looking forward to dancing with you and enjoying the summer from July 25th to 27th 2025 in Nippes, one of the barrios of Cologne, where the venue Altenberger Hof is located. A 400 m2 dance hall with a parquet floor and a top-notch sound system will be waiting for you, as well as a bar area, an inner courtyard with a café, and a sprawling park with an inviting lawn.

What you can expect:
- A cosy and friendly event with 190 tango lovers
- A role-balanced group of participants
- Invitation by mirada/cabeceo and other milonga codes
- A ballroom with a wooden floor in the "Scheune" (barn)
- 6 great international as well as local TDJs
- Pre-milonga on Thursday (also open to local dancers)
- Yoga sessions in the park
- A folklore workshop on Saturday
- Dinner on Friday and Saturday
- Brunch on Saturday and Sunday
- Refreshments during the milongas
- A bar with drinks for purchase: Kölsch (our local beer), wine and whatever else there might be found on the shelf
