Description

Join us in Philadelphia for four transcendent days & nights of tango: June 1-4!

This year's festival will take place at a new and very exciting location: The German Society of Pennsylvania. We will be able to use the entirety of this gorgeous & huge historic building throughout the festival.

The teaching line-up for this festival is all-Argentine and top-notch:
** Nito Garcia & Elba Natalia Sottile,
** Adrian Veredice & Alejandra Hobert,
** Octavio Fernandez & Carla Marano, and
** Marcelo El Chino Gutierrez.

And the DJs are equally amazing:
** Ramu Pyreddy
** Marc Hussner
** Adam Ashton Hoopengardner
** Marcelo Gutierrez, and
** Manuk Colakyan.

Our gorgeous and multi-faceted venue will allow us to incorporate many new activities into the festival schedule, including:
** Outdoor Garden Milongas in the evenings in a beautiful courtyard, on a professional-grade dance floor.
** Extended milongas (until 3 and 4 am, respectively) on Friday & Saturday nights, in an exquisite, 19th century ballroom.
** Lots of on-site food options, including a catered dinner Friday night, Kiya's Cafe (run by Chef Rukiya Jamison), serving Argentine light bites and coffee from Friday through Sunday, and a barbeque (run by Ole Tapas Lounge) during a Garden Milonga on Sunday evening.
** A late-night alternative milonga in a historic & beautiful library.

And the festival will of course include all of the elements that have always distinguished our event:
** Superb instruction in Argentine Tango for every level from absolute beginner to very advanced, through a total of 28 workshops;
** 26 hours of social dancing to music curated by some of the most respected tango DJs;
** Astounding & inspiring nightly performances;
** Fantastic tango shoes & clothing vendors;
** A welcoming atmosphere where it's easy to meet new people; and
** A historic and beautiful city to explore.

Philadelphia has gained a reputation over the past couple of years as a welcoming tango community with a great level of dancing. Come check us out!
