Description
Yearly Argentine Tango gathering during the first weekend in March in Newport News, VA. Two concurrent events, on separate dance floors: Encuentro Milonguero and Tango Marathon. Both events will be gender balanced.
This is the first annual Encuentro Milonguero East of Colorado. We will follow the codes of conduct from Siempre Milonguero. Participants signing up for the Encuentrothon will select one event or the other.
Encuentrothon is an all-inclusive event. It brings together the entire tango community, where all styles of tango can be comfortably enjoyed. Encuentro attempts to re-create and preserve the milonguero feel of the traditional Buenos Aires Milongas.
Our Marathon is a more familiar environment to most, similar to your local Milonga, only longer and/or larger, with a fantastic dance floor, incredible sound system and the most welcoming local tango community.
